The product you are looking for is called a "video capture device". They come in two forms, a PCI expansion card or a external USB device. Some software programs come with the PCI card, such as "Pinnacle 9", which is a good entry level place to start. Some USB devices are "Dazzle" which includes "Pinnacle"software. A cheaper and fairly good device is made by K-World. It's called DVD-Maker. That runs about $40 and includes software. Works pretty good for entry level stuff. A more professional level would be like the ATI's "All-In-Wonder" video card.
