I don't like to say this, but the screen is malfunctioning, BUT, it is not 100% needs to be replaced, this screen as it is foldable, it connect to the main part of the laptop through a series of micro wires, AND as it is only one line from top to bottom, it might (I HOPE) one of these lines is broken, anyway, you have only one solution, contact the warranty

It would have been helpful if you posted the actual model of your laptop. If it just happened recently you must have hit the rear of the lcd screen with something. Maybe when It was closed you put something on top of it and directly affected the LCD. You still have warranty (1 year) If I were you I would take advantage of that waranty and get the LCD replaced because if you are out of warranty and have to replace the LCD it will run you about $900.
And to the guy below who suggested magnets, Magnets in no way affect LCD screen if you havent noticed.

try checking the setting of ur labtop
- right click on destop, select Properties
- select Settings tab
- click on the Advanced botton, then a new window apears
- click on General tab, make sure ur DPI setting is Normal
- click on Monitor tab, make sure ur screen refresh rate is sth like 75 herts
i m not sure if datz da problem, but u can try to check the above settings, good luck

I certainly have the comparable issue. it form of feels to be a pinched ribbon cable or undesirable connection of a few type as mine is going away some cases. regardless of if it quite is decrease than guarantee then get it swapped out, or you're able to desire to stay with it. :(

I hope you have a warrenty on it. I would call them they should have a help line. It cost me more but i have a 4 yr warrenty on mine.
