Most of these features are already in WMP, but a few are missing or buggy. My WMP killer would:
Correctly maintain my filenames and directory-structure based on the tags
Automatically monitor whether I've added/deleted files to the library
Burn to DVD format
Generate random playlists based on a large assortment of criteria, including "last time played"
Record to .MP3 (or some other small-filesize) format in real-time from the soundcard, or allow for the means to quickly convert to a smaller file-size
Rip from CD
Support playback in .mp3, .wma, .flac, .ogg, and .shn formats
Automatically provide tag information when ripping from CD
Have nifty psychedelic visualizations to distract me when I should be working.
Not cost much more than $20.
I am interested in your answer, even if your recommendation doesn't match ALL of these critera.
