Has anyone ever seen a website quite like 2012.com?

With the impending doom and/or extreme changes the human race is supposed to undergo in December of 2012, does anyone else find this website a little unnerving?

I've been surfing the web since AOL 2.0 came out, and I've never seen a website quite like this. More importantly, if you type in 2012.com, you almost never see anyone asking questions about it.

Creepy? Of course. But is there something else at work here?

Considering there's no content at 2012.com, just a notice that the domain's not for sale... it's not much of a topic.
