I know that it is like two processors so that you can run two programs on each of the processors, but, how does that translate into speed of each processor. Let me explain, I am looking at purchasing an hp laptop that has a 1.87Ghz Intel Duo processor. I am under the assumption that when playing a game, the game will only be using one processor. So then it should be using half of the 1.87Ghz, assuming that the two cores are split evenly. So now my, one of two, processors is only running @ around .9Ghz. Or do each of the cores run @ 1.87Ghz. Doom 3 requires a minimum 1.5Ghz processor. Is my $2000 laptop unable to play this game due to the split core? Thanks for the answers. btw, if you dont know what you are talking about, like me, then dont answer.

ok....when i woke up this morning i could hear my aim still working....then i open the lid and i get a black screen. So i turn it off then back on and it shows me a grey screen with a little blue folder that blinks back and forth between a question mark then the mac sign (the little face puzzle piece thingy). Then i wait and wait and it just turns off....HELP ME FIX THIS!!!! i need my computer today and the mac phone people dont work sundays :-(

When i go to settings > control pannel > add/remove programs, Triton does not appear on the list at all.
Is there some alternative way to wipe Triton off my computer? I even tried deleting normal AIM to see if that would take it with it. It didnt work.

My computer.. when the AIM screen goes to open it takes a long time to load, and my internet does too, and most of the time you can see my computer background through the screens. i've done virus scans with 3 different programs, so that can't be the cause of it. does anyone know what else it could be or how to fix it?

I got a 20gb hd on Laptop, right now I got 7gb free. I will get an usb external hard drive in a month, but right now I am desperate to get some extra time. I want to compress my hard drive but I don't know if its Ok, will it damage my laptop, will it slow it down?
