Why does yahoo have a "new" homepage, but always resets to the old crappy one, even when you save it?

Because the old one is still set on your computer as the Home Page. In IE go to Tools>Internet Options>General tab and put the New Homepage URL in the box.

I have tried to figure that out for a long time too, it never keeps it and it never remembers me either even after I check the little box that says remember me when I sign in

i got the same thing, it keep changing from time to time.

well.. here it's always the new one. they don't switch back and forth.
