Computers & Internet - 4 July 2006

I want to string an ethernet cable from the the internet cafe on the first floor to the 4th floor condo I am renting. Will the connection be affected by the lenght? I cant use wireless, it needs to connect my Vonage phone and 1 or 2 computers. The internet cafe has a 256K connection.

Platform:Sql server 2003
Two boxes: 1)production server/machine 2)Test server/machine
How to move the database from the production server to Test server?
how to move the complete structure,logins n all to test server?

As the data is huge i dnt need it in test sever but i at times to work how can i move the data of my choice?

alright so i boot my computer up normally and then it goes into this thing saying what choices i want to do like start windows normally or load recent settings that worked and whenever i do that it loads and then goes into this blue screen then restarts the whole computer

I think it really is. I hate it when i see people asking for someone to be their friend. They don't even know who that person is so they might get themselves into trouble. The most people that do this are around 12 years old. And its even worse for them. Who agrees with me on this?

I have lots of pics saved to "MY PICTURES". Just wondering if I saved my pics to a CD, would I need to delete them from "MY PICTURES" to free up some space? Would it even MAKE my computer run any faster? I have cable internet access and it runs REALLY SLOW. Believe me, I have LOTS of pics on my hard drive! (Big ones too)

It did this twice, both at school. They were running windows 2000, and it just randomly a window popped up, and it said OUCH!. There was an "OK" button and i pressed, it, and nothing else happened.

I got an error during the installation when it was installing Verticulator.TD6
They said the file error was e:\data2.cab
It use to work..
There is a scratch on it [tried to clean it, restarted, restored my computer even]
Any suggestions on getting the file?
Does anyone have it that I can download it from?
Gosh this is so frustrating.
And I don't know alot about programs sooo yeah try to explain it good for me
