Maybe a second station for lighter but still lively, Grassroots, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, Turtles, Rascals, Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, Richous Brothers, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Dave Clark 5, etc

O.K I was using the internet when suddenly it stopped. I tried repairing the connection but it failed on retrieving ip address. I checked the settings and it failed to find the router's ip address.

this is my prog
class printer
{
public void print()
{
System.out.println("Hello from java");
}
}

public class app
{
public static void main(String[] args)
{
printer printer1 = new printer();
printer1.print();
}
}

when i tried to run it it didn't work....
then i entered the sdk bin path in the path(using the environmental variable setting) and also noticed that there is no CLASSPATH variable in the list!!!
any way after adding the sdk bin path it get compiled...
and generated the clases files for printer and app
but when i tried to run it with the java app command it get an error
(Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: C:\work\New\app)

also when i tried to place them in seperate files printer.java and app.java and compiled separatly printer.java get compiled but when tried to run app.java i got an error message
C:\work>javac app.java
app.java:1: '.' expected
import printer;
^
1 error
Please help..i will gave u more info if needed

After installing a new software, sometimes it asks you to restart Windows XP, and sometimes it doesn't. I want to know 1) whether it is an arbitrary choice of the software installer or that each time it asks you, you really need to (at some point) to complete the installation; and 2) what kind of changes in Windows XP requires a reboot?

A little background on the question: I am having issues with making Microsoft Activesync 4.1 work with my Cingular 8125 phone (like hundreds of other people). The weird thing is that I successfully made it work on my Thinkpad R40 (with Windows XP), though I can't make it work on my Thinkpad X41 Tablet PC (XP Tablet edition). One of the main difference during the installation between the two is that after installing Activesync on the R40, it asked me to reboot before finishing the installation; whether it didn't ask me to reboot on the X41 (even though they both have Windows XP???). Maybe understanding why would help me to solve the issue...

I want to use my laptop as my main computer, but still be able to access and use my desktop hard drive without needing another monitor and keyboard.
