I have observed many pieces of hardware for sale that says "OEM" and I know what the initials stand for.....but I don't understand what it really means in terms of the consumer like me. I tend to shy away when I see that designation.....is that wrong?

Is there any reason I shouldn't buy OEM hardware? Does it have the same warranty and the same packaging and instructions?

What do you NOT GET if you buy OEM hardware?

I downloaded iTunes and bought the song from there and couldnt transfer the song because it is a different format. I then purchased the same song again from oxfam's website and tried to transfer to my Sony HD player but it says its copy protected!! So I have now purchased one song twice and cant move it from my pc unless I burn it to CD. Can anyone help me get round this? I dont want to do anything illegal but surely if I have paid for a song twice I should be able to choose which type of player I listen to it on without having to buy a bloomin iPod!! Many thanks in advance.

i know mavis beacon teaches typing is really good and i might get it BUT somebody told me i could download it. where could i download it to use it for good? i downloaded it for 3 uses and it canceled before i even did the first. so if you know, tell me if you can download mavis beacon teaches typing and what site? please and thank you!!!

I think the fan inside is dying, and I should probably replace it, but until then is there anything else that I can do? I already have it sitting on top of one of those laptop cooling fans, and even have a little desktop fan next to it, but it still seems like it's getting too warm. I have a Dell Inspiron 8200.

I've got a new digital camera (6 megapixel photos) and I'd like to be able to touch up photos effectively: remove red eye, blemishes, maybe do some cool effects. I went to this website, www.jinglebaby.com, to order a toddler bracelet for my daughter. I created an account and everything, got an order confirmation, got a receipt and then got nothing in the mail. I've tried to log back in to check the status and they tell me my account info is unknown. I've emailed customer service several times and nothing. The worst part is, they debited my bank account.

I recently bought this RAM (512MB DDR 400) while on sale at CC. Now I read on the back of the package: "Upgrade for Systems that use JEDEC (generic) memory". What does this mean?

Is this memory any good? I bought it to use in a new home build computer that I hope to finish sometime this summer. I'm buying the hardware as it goes on sale.

But after reading this, I'm beginning to wonder about the Kingston RAM. I probably should give them a call.

But I'd like to hear from you guys first. Companies tends to sing their own songs.

I am computer science graduate and done couple of programming courses such as asp.net, vb.net , c#.net and javascript. but I am not getting the idea of programming where to start with. I am in trouble to get a job. even i worked in a company for 2 months. but i am totally confused. So please help me i want continue my career in software development. Or else suggest me the field related to this in which i dont need to do programming but the skills should be similar to that.
