it has a url but i want to save it to my computer and put it on my ipod. i have a program that can convert anything to the format for my ipod. but i need to save it to my computer first.

It is not really hard but it is depend on file format. Any way let's try.
Most of the thing we do in Internet being saved in your temporary folder. type %temp% in your address bar. this could be little different in different browser so just look for temporary Internet files. Now, in this folder there could thousands of files so just do the CTRL A and select all and hit DELETE. Now go back you your video and play the whole video. Refresh the temp file and you will see that video over there, name could be little different so just look for it. Once you get that file, copy and paste to your desktop. This work in most cases however, some webmaster use different technique. If the file is in playlist format you will get that small file with URL instead video in this case you have to find a program in download.com.
