oh boy. turn off your laptop, unplug it, and remove the battery. Take a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and rub down your keys; use a q-tip for going under. Wait for the alcohol to evaporate (about 5 minutes) then put your battery in, plug it up, and turn it on.
DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE OTHERS SAYING USE WATER AND SOAP AND CRAP. THE WATER WILL MIX WITH THE SUGAR AND UH OH.
DO NOT USE WINDEX
DO NOT PULL THE KEYS OFF, THEY ARE A PAIN ON LAPTOPS. UNLIKE DESKTOPS, THEY HAVE SMALL LITTLE PLASTIC HINGES THAT YOU MUST SIT FOR HOURS TRYING TO GET BACK RIGHT.

Pop off those keys using a pen or paperclip and wash them in hot soapy water. Get a rag with hot soapy water and clean off the sticky pop on the actual keyboard. Let air dry or use a paper towel to dry it up quicker. Gently push the keys back into place, the space bar is a bit trickier, it usually has a metal bar that has to fit in its holder first. It's really not a big deal to do this, about once a year I take off all my keys and give them a good scrubbin'. I just wouldn't submerge the actual keyboard in water, I've heard of people who have done it, but usually wiping down the space under the keys is all you need to do.

IF THE STICK IS UNDER THE KEYS (The keys stay down):
This might be a bit cruel-sounding, but pull the keys that are sticky out and try using a wet Q-Tip (Or carefully with a washcloth) to remove the soda. Then dry it with a towel, blowdryer, or whatever you have, then put the keys back.

The are probably screws on the bottom that will open the top casing. Open it, remove the keyboard, and use Q-tips and rubbing acohol to clean it.
Be SURE to power off the laptop, unplug the a/c cord, and remove the battery before you open the casing.

Replace the keyboard, or if you can handle it, go and get an external keyboard and just carry that around.
