go to tools, internet options. Click on the programs tab. click manage addons, disable Wierd addons (not from adobe, yahoo, microsoft or other known companies) they slow your internet explorer down

My school had this problem once. Try switching browsers... might I reccomend Firefox ( http://www.mozilla.com )? It always worked, and when it crashes, just push Ctrl-Alt-Del. If you want to keep using Internet Explorer, get a spyware remover like Lavasoft Ad-aware.
