Easy as pie! Everyone thinks you need a hosting service! They dont bother to look and see if their isp has webspace reserved under their account. Most providers have at least 20 megs of space you are already paying for! Check your ISP package and see. Secondly, people are mislead in believing they need a domain name! Another untruth! A domain name is nice but it is NOT needed! A domain name is a name that is registered in the domain registry and does aid in helping people to find your site but it isnt a must! Now that you know this, go out and purchase some cheap drag and drop webpage software and git goin! Everything you need to design and upload your creation will be in the software!

There are lots of places to do this. The most flexible one that I've seen--and the one that has the most features--is at Multiply.Com.

The only thing that's not on Multiply is a direct selling service--though they do have a place where you can post things for sale (and then people contact you "the old fashioned" way).

very easy, if you have a broadband connection with an isp, you should get free web space with them, my wife used the same type of thing when she started out with her business to save on costs,

http://www.pure-chocolate.toucansurf.com

we just use it now for recipes and stuff and link to it from a domain name which cost us £6.09 http://www.pure-chocolate.co.uk once you have your domain name just go into your control panel with your domain name supplier and set it up from there, it only takes a few minutes, and its a lot less expensive than paying every month, she now has a paid monthly one at http://www.purechocolate.co.uk but the original site was just as adequate for when she set up.

Hope this helps

most free website providers also include a "web-building wizard" which makes it fairly easy to put a site together without knowing html

Unless you have your own server, you have to pay someone to host your site. There are lots of cheap places, though.
