a dvd/cd-rw combochronic signifies that it performs dvds and cd rewriteables. some organizations are difficult so look on the index, and if it says creates or burns dvd then that is going to do both cd and dvds

no, DVD is completly different, so you can't burn it with DVD/CD-RW combo, if you know, combo is just a reader of DVDs and a writer for CDs not DVDs..........

double check the programs on your computer if there is dvd burning software installed then you can that was the case on my laptop
