How much space on your HDD doesn't make it your computer slow. Its how much memory you have on your computer that does. 512mb is pretty much the standard now a days, and im sure for gamers and artists its probably 1 gig+ now. Also, try doing a defrag your hard drive I believe thats what it's called. (Im more of a MAC user, so please forgive me).
There, it will put all the files in the correct place, so the next time you're on the computer, the computer doesnt have to go looking everywhere for stuff, instead its neatly organised. Also, clean your cookies out and clean your trash as well.
Also, do a check if you have any virus' or any spyware as well. That could also be making your PC slower than slow.
Or, you can buy an external HDD and put all your pictures in there. But always make a second copy incase something happens to the first one (speaking from personal experience on that).
Hope it helps!

Not necessarily!
1. If your hard drive is nearly full, then it will be slow, in which case you might have to delete some files.
2. Do a Defrag, and that will improve the performance.
3. Download some of the anti spyware tools from CNet and run them.
4. If all the above doesn't improve the performance, then look at RAM, Processor speed.

Only if you are running out of disk space.
Open My Computer, highlight you C drive and right click. Then choose Properties.
You can see how much space is available.
If you choose Tools from here , you can then defragment the drive. This is suggested even if you don't remove pictures.

no.
file space and 'ram allocation' are completely different stuff
simply making more space on your hard drive by copying all the pictures on to a cd will not make it run faster
you need a memory upgrade to make ur pc work faster... however at many situations a memory upgrade is not the only solution.. you might need a complete system upgrade.

I agree with everyone. I had this problem once. My computer was working fine one day, then the next day it was so slow. I tried everything these people said to do. Still it was slow. So I checked the DSL connection and I unplugged all the connections then plugged them back together. That was the problem. It was dirty or something. Now it is working perfect!!

The best thing for you do to do would be to uninstall software programs that you are not using since if they are running in the background they are using ram. You might also want to check what services run at start up and turn off ones you do not use.

No for many reasons,
The current speed of your computer debends on:
RAM , CPU speed , How many applications running now b-coz the running application need RAM and using the proccessor and you have to free at least one GB from drive your windows running on b-coz windows using PF (Page files) to increase RAM size to help you if you are running over than your RAM size.

It would empty My Pictures slot but it would never make it go faster unless you have a million plus pictures stored. Try changing your computer ROM chip to a larger capacity one.
