it used to work perfectically fine, but from one day to another it just stopped doing the burning process. this isn't normal. what can i do to fix it? please help me!!!

I ripped a burnt copy of Disturbed's Sickness on to my computer and tried to burn it to a cd-r. the program i used said it was sucessful in burnning it but it won't play on my home stereo. The one i ripped to my computer does, and the other cd's i've made with the same brand cd-r's and with the same settings do. But this one won't.

I need this mainly to play Counter-Strike 1.6
I cannot get a desktop cause i will be taking this to college soon.
