I have a new modem in another room and still can,t get on the net?

every time i go to the net it says busy what did ido wrong

What kind of conection do you have? Dial-up? Did you get the right numbers? Try changing the number, or adding more numbers to dial.

Be specific do you have dial up DSL or cable modem/?
Dial up will give you busy signal.
