I ripped a burnt copy of Disturbed's Sickness on to my computer and tried to burn it to a cd-r. the program i used said it was sucessful in burnning it but it won't play on my home stereo. The one i ripped to my computer does, and the other cd's i've made with the same brand cd-r's and with the same settings do. But this one won't.

the files degrade after repeated transfer. try starting with a new copy that you bought from a store. or use cool edit pro it has a file cleaning system that will return ripped music to its original state.

A common thing to happen is that the CD wasn't finalized. If that is the case it will not play anywhere except on the computer that you used to burn the CD with.

You might also have created an mp3 CD instead of an audio CD in which case it will not play in some stereos. If the stereo supports mp3 CDs then it should play there as well.
