need to upgrade memory in my HP Pavilion 4413 to run XP - currently has 48mb sdram dimm 66mhz synchronous - (1) will it take pc100 ram instead of pc66 ram ? (2) is it ok to use double sided sdram if it will take the pc100 ram ?

I have an HP dv1220us Notebook. It's pretty cool, it has lots of good features and the perfromance is great. The only thing is that it has a 13.4" monitor. I want a laptop with the same specs but a 17" one with a seperate numeric keypad in the keyboard.... any ideas how to do it... I've tried to ask where i bought it from... They said you can't trade it and pay the difference to get a better one. What should i do to switch/trade my laptop to/for a 17" screen laptop?
I am really craving to switch to a 17" screen one...

Any opinions will be appriciated. Thanks :)

Someone once told me that you can take a hard drive out of your comuter and plug it into some sort of case and it will turn into a USB external hard drive that I can then plug into my new computer. I've looked into it, but I can't find anything that looks like that. Does anyone know anything about it like a model number, where I can buy it, or an approximate cost? Thanks.

I'm going to sound like a bigger idiot than I actually in with this question, but alas.......

I can't get the font on here to change. Ok, I know how to go into Display properties and customize it from there, and I've done that. The only problem is that the fonts in the menus themselves don't change. I'm not sure the exact name, but, for example, when you open Internet Options in IE, the menu that comes up is in the unwanted font, including all the buttons. Every other font has been reset to the originals, but for some reason, I just can't get the menu ones to change.

Help?

When I'm playing in yahoo games I get a black box that pops up with my name and other info and it disappears before I can read it all and then the internet explorer browser crashes. I am concerned that I might have picked up a trojan or worm or keylogger. My software scans for spyware and viruses, but it doesn't show anything else. How can I scan for this?

i asked this question this morning and have been working on it all day i have tried everything . i mean everything. and i am still getting this pop up even as i sit any type this question.it says.
""run-time error':'type mismatch."" it pops up like every 60 seconds
i click ok and it comes right back. i have done a defrage,disk clean up,disk error sreach,ran spy subtract,ran the virus scan,i went to microsoft and up dated every thing. reinstalled the newest verison of internet explorer,and more still cant fix the problem any ideas?
