i have a webcam at home and havent installed it yet.. problem is i lost the cd already to install the hardware.. is there any way for me to install it without a cd? i trried windows update but where do i go from there.. ny cam is not a logitech cam.. wish u guys could help.. thankz..

If you know the model number of your webcam, you can download the very basic driver from
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/categories/CA/EN,CRID=1794

However, there may not be any of the add on software that may have been included in your original CD.

You should be able to plug the camera in and get it recognised by WinXP immediately and use default settings. If you want finer controls then you should go to the manufacturers site for the software and of course register your product! Good luck

There's probably a 1-800 number for the company, call them and tell them there was no cd in the package. Or just take it back where you bought it and tell them you want to exchange it cause theres no cd in there.

Do a search and use the words "drivers" and whatever version of windows you have. For instance do a search lik this "XYZ Brand webcam Windows XP drivers" and see what you can find.

just search the program software online for the type of cam that it is and then dwonload the software and youre all set, happy camming

If you can figure out what brand it is search for their website most sites have software to download on the site.

Go to www.logitech.com im pretty shure they still offer Drivers for there products as do most hardware manufactures
