We have a 1977 Holidaire trailer, and have found that the left turn signal works, the brake lights work, but when we turn on the right signal light in our 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee, all of the lights begin to flash, much like hazard lights, including the clearance lights. We had problems last year, and it was the tow harness on our Jeep. Everything worked fine when we parked it (indoors) for the winter. Now it's giving us grief and I'd like to know if it's something we can fix ourselves, or if we will have to shell out another $200 this summer.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

they are backed out of their space about half way when you get close to them........do you wait or go around behind them? People do this to me all the time when I'm backing out and it drives me absolutley insane. When you almost hit them, they start yelling at you, even though they saw you backing out a mile ago and they just figured they'd go behind you anyway.

My car got broken into last night & my satnav along with my stereo got stolen. The car was parked on the road. The alarm probably went off but nobody heard it. The thief broke the passenger side glass to get in.

Can you tell me where is the best place to go in order to get my glass replaced? Also, would it be worth my while claiming it on insurance?

Thanks

A recent question just makes me ask about the worst incident of Police driving that you have seen....

I saw a woman PC texting while driving...

was nearly hit once by a police car that had no lights on at night...

I read 2 weeks ago that some copper killed someone's fiance at a crossroads, as the copper drove thro a red light at 60... in the paper, it said that the copper was acquitted.

seems like one rule for them and one for us !!!

With all the traffic congestion I run into all the time, it would seem to me that one inexpensive way to inprove the traffic flow would be to have more lanes on the same pavement width, IOW narrower lanes and illimate 1 of the shoulders. Paint & Botts Dots are a lot less expensive & faster to complete than building or widening roadways. If there are 3 lanes, narrowing them & using one of the shoulders, then restriping the road way to make 4 or 5 lanes is an almost immediate 33 to 66% increase in the road capacity.
Why is the standard lane with 12 feet? why not 9 or 10? Anyone know of any common 12 feet wide vehicles?
Maybe one 12 feet wide lane for trucks & the rest 9 feet?
My thought is that with a 48 foot road surface, there could be between 4 (12 foot lanes) or 5 (9 foot lanes) or even 6, if you illimate one of the shoulders, and with all the traffic congestion, 5 or 6 lanes is better than 4. Any one elses thoughts on this?

OK, I watched Mythbusters the other day and got totally freaked out. They said that when semi busts a tire, the rubber can actually decapitate you! How often to semi tires blow? I am now so nervous driving on the interstate. I see tires on the side of the road everywhere, but never have seen a tire blow...

Anyway

There was one science thing they was doing about speed bump or humps

what they said if you go over them fast it will not damage you're car as much as if you went over a speed bump slow is that really true.

Now, before you all bite my head off, I need answers to assist me with a situation/arguement that I'm having with my sister in law at the moment, who has been holding her 6 month old daughter in her arms in the backseat, and claims that this safe. I've told her time and time again that it's not, and that if she is in a crash, that the child will be ripped from her arms and thrown about the car, or that she will slam into the back of the seat as she doesn't buckle up either. She has also occasionally done this in the front. Please help me with answers from independent parties to convince her to restrain her daughter. If you have details where I could find footyage of what happens to unrestrained passengers on crashes on line, that would also be great. Thank you
