The bike part (I don't know what it's called) where the chain rotates is very spiky and jagged, and my right pant leg keeps getting caught in it and the material keeps getting frayed and shredded. I didn't have this problem on the bike I used last year, at all. So I'm inclined to blame my current bike. What should I do to resolve the problem?

I had a situation that a bus driver was fixing the electric line for the bus. when she was pulling the electric line and backing up. She bump into the side of my car. I didn't think nothing it. I said to her to look and be careful next time. so I left the scene. now she claim that I hit her and ran off.
The detective investigate said that it is a hit and run incident.
So what should I do? would my insurance go up if this get in my record as a hit and run?

I am aware that from the 18th (i.e. Monday) in the UK the new regulations will come into force. My question is: if the seat belt is a lap belt not a three point seat belt; are you required to use a booster seat? The child concerned only has to use a basic booster seat NOT one of the high back variety - but some of the basic ones do say that they are only for use with three point belts. I am struggling to find this information and wondering if any parents on this site have managed to find out! I have asked in halfords but their staff didn't know...

When you whiz through a speed camera, a speed sensor which works on the doppler principle logs your speed, and activates the circuits or mechanism to snap a picture of your car as it passes through the focal range of the camera.

Now, presumably, if you crank up your speed high enough, you would be able to escape out of the cameras field of view or focal range before the camera got activated.

But what speed would be required to acchieve this?

And would it be possible to travel so fast that the speed detector mechanism doesn't even notice you because you've passed it by before it even had a chance to register your existence?

My grandaughter slipped off the seat in the winter, hit her head on the seat ahead of her as driver was turning, the driver never even knew what happened. if she had been buckled in it would never have happened. This has happened a few times. They do not always tell you until later or I would have reported this driver, because he was going to fast. I think all tax payers should make them accountable when it comes to voting. If every mom and dad protested for this it might happen.

UK government requires specially designed seats for children under 12 who are also under 4ft.5ins. in height. This will be a great expense for many families. To what extent may this have been brought about through lobbyiing by the car seat manufacturers, who stand to make a windfall?

I was entering the highway from the right lane which was about to become another exit. I had my left blinker on, checked my mirrors to see if the right lane was clear. All was clear, so I merged in. In a flash, this beige car appeared in front of me and nearly swiped the front of my car. It came from the middle lane and was going so fast towards that right exit ramp. This driver had to the nerve to look around at me and give me a glare! Meanwhile: she was speeding, exiting the highway from a middle lane and had plenty of opportunity to get in the right lane BEHIND me to take that exit. I was going 60 mph and increasing to the max so it was not like I was a slowpoke. Why the heck couldn't she have slowed down and got BEHIND me in the right lane and taken that exit correctly. Instead she put me and families lives at risk.

Thanks to anyone who read this far. Just had to get that off my chest, now back to work.

We are told by the signs on the elevator that we can't use them in case of a fire. We then use the stairs to move, but there are those who are confined to wheelchairs and can't use the stairs.
