4 point ticket
after first year drops to 2
after Second year drops to 1
after third year 0
So a 6 point would be 5 years (aways round up)
4 point would be 3 years
2 point would be 2 years

varies by state I know in connecticut its no more then 2-3 years cause I had a ticket 4 years ago and 3 years ago and when I renew my license last month I asked for my driving history an they both vanished

i live in kansas and it's tickets stay on your driving record for 3 years.... check with your local police department, they'll be able to tell you......

If you mean "how long" rather than "who long", forever. If you mean how long will it affect you, the insurance companies usually only look back 3 years.

on your license is it 18 months. for your insurance they penalize you for up to 3 years and changing insurance up to 5 years. this is in new york.
