It these sort of drivers (plenty of em round my area) that i fondly refer as those drivers that got thier licsense by sendin off 12 tokens from the back of kellogs corn flake packets lol...nah seriously alot of it is down to bad habits, when uve been driving for so long u become complacent and tend to take shortcuts in the drving method, its totally wrong i agree but thats what happens!!!! also shows a lack of respect for other road users

No they won't, Indicators are there purely for that reason, to indicate which way you intend to go not the way you are definitely going. It is always up to other drivers to look at other signs like the speed and direction of the car. The reason being the indicator may have broken/bulb gone. Using that as an excuse/reason for a crash would not affect any insurance claim

I heard indicators were optional extras on BMW's
The insurance company won't be happy if the driver's failure to indicate was a partial cause of a crash, but they will still have to pay out, as they would if you were caught drink driving and crashed, they might decline to insure you in future though.

Come to Texas and see most drivers here never use there signals. Merge here means not crushing the fender of the car in the lane next to you when the car unexpectedly comes across! There is a Joke, They just ran out of BLINKER FLUID.

There are three instances where I never signal.
1. When no one is close enough to care what I'm doing.
2. When signaling a lane change will cause the anal orifice to speed up and close the gap
3 when I'm in a "right turn only" or "left turn only" lane. My intentions are pretty obvious, right?

Because most drivers think that everyone is tuned into them mentally and automatically know when they are about to turn, either that or they think they are the only ones on the road!!

I think it is just one aspect of driving "without due care and attention ". I suppose it is down to selfishness really. The driver knows he/she is about to turn left,is it really necessary to let other drivers know ? Of course it is so annoying to be just behind that driver, and it can be downright dangerous.

People driving have gotten way out of hand. They now use the slow lane as a passing lane, rolling stops are now common, speed limits huh.
