you have bought something that turns out to be so dangerous it could kill you ????

Isn't it deemed as attempted murder if the seller knew it was lethal.

What would you do if while you are sitting in your car in the parking lot of a grocery store, someone bumps a grocery cart on the side of your car and causes a scratch?
Although it was an accident, is it enough for you if he apologizes with a frawn on his face or do you ask him to pay for the damage that he has caused and how much? What is the exact thing that you would do? especially that your car is only one year old?

Can someone please explain to me why some parents refuse to keep their children safe and put them in car seats, why do they allow their small kids to ride up front in a car that has airbags and not in a seat belt, why do they allow their kids to play in the back seat with out being buckled in? This is one of those thing that really upset me..when I see a young child either sitting in the front seat ( I know in KC a child has to be 13 to sit up front) or not have their kids buckle up. Is it just me that this bothers?

Going down a San Diego Freeway, a dodge Durango in front of us, approx 3-4 car lenghts. Going about 65-70mph... When all of the sudden the driver of the Durango hits his breaks, then SLAMS on his breaks, smoke from his tires is everywhere and in no time we are in an accident. CHP shows up and the driver of the Durango is irrational and argumentative, takes a fighting stance with a CHP and is arrested for a DUI and suspended licence.

We are all amazed to find out that CHP ruled that we were at fault? Is there no justice? I would assume that the drunk driver, (since he should have not been driving) would be the cause of this accident...Since he admitted that he hit his breaks in an attempt to get us to get away from him... Not the sober driver behind him.

We got about 2 inches of snow yesterday morning, and while the roads look pretty clear I assume there's a reason that most of the schools in the area are closed today. I've lived in California since I was 11, so while I've seen plenty of snow before, I've never had to drive in it. Anything I should know before driving in snow for the first time?

How do you keep your headlights from getting mud on them. I have had to stop on the side of the road and wipe my headlights because fine mud spray builds up and makes night driving scary. Thanks for any tips.

Have there been any sites that have done risk assesment on this? I am really considering getting a car with side curtain airbags. They just really seem to make sense. I was just wondering if there is a way to calculate the risk of me getting into a side impact collision based on my driving record (1 speeding ticket 8 over in the last year no fault accidents) and the amount I will drive per year (~6000 miles) and my location (San Diego). I know this is a very specific question, but a head injury could have very long term expensive implications.

Anyways I don't really want to pay for a newer car, but it is the only way for me to get curtain airbags, and I just want to calculate if it is worth the money to minimize the risk of head injury.

Can speed camera Vans Park on a grass verge? The road is not marked with any lines but it is in a residential area with no room for parking on the roadside. Also do speed camera vans have to be parked on the same side of the road as the traffic they are detecting?
