you have bought something that turns out to be so dangerous it could kill you ????

Isn't it deemed as attempted murder if the seller knew it was lethal.

It depends on the state you live in. Most states have laws against selling cars that are unsafe. But if you signed a waver or as is sticker when you bought the car than its on you. I would talk to the dealer and see were they stand then talk to the states attorney and see what you can do.

Check on something known as the "Lemon Law"

I am not sure if it is in all states but I know certain states have a law to protect car buyers from the seller. If you buy a car and it turns out to be a piece of junk (Basically the guy told you its a great car and it's not) or a "Lemon" you have certain rights. ONLY if the seller lied to you.

I can't remeber how the law goes specifically but I believe that is the general idea of it.

The term lethal is very subjective. If a product failed it would have to be proved that it WOULD kill in stead of COULD kill.
I assume your talking about a second hand car?
Your only remit is if you bought it from a garage as they have a duty of care they have to adhere to. Check the Mot, if it's less than a month old contact VOSA immediately.

Buyer beware is the watchword! If it is a nationally branded product you should be able to find a UL listing for it. If it has one then you can sue successfully. However if it is an imported product good luck.

Oh, no it's not attempted murder if you tried the product knowing full well what it could do. It is however, stupid to do so.

It's illegal in the UK for a motor dealer to sell a car in an unroadworthy condition. If it's a private sale, though, you don't have that protection. As it's his word against yours, he'll probably say he told you it was for spares or repair.

Go see a solicitor, they usually give you the first interview free.

No most cars are sold as seen. You should have got it checked before you bought it as the seller can now say it was fine when they sold it.Be more carefull in future

It depends on how long you have had the car, but i would go to the tradeing standed office and make a complaint there.

Nearly anything can be lethal.

McDonald's can make people fat, and they can die.

Cigarettes can give people cancer and they may die.

Plastic baggies may get stuck on people's heads and they may suffocate and die.

There is even a such thing as water poisoning. Look it up.

It would depend on what it was. Shops can sell knives... they can be lethal, but perfectly legal.
