i have a n scale layout but everytime i try and add scenery, i get bored and stop. its a 3x8 layout and my track are minimum radius which wont really allow 12 wheel diesel which is now a days a must on a railroad. i really dont want to keep wasting money on it only to tear it back up when i get bored with it. what should i do or what did you do?

I have bought a ticket back home for the weekend from uni (Nottingham to London) but now my plans have changed and I need to get off at a stop before London. Does anyone know if the tickets barriers at the station will let me through, if the person on duty will let me through or will I have to buy another ticket?

It seems silly buying a whole new ticket if I've paid to go all the way to london anyway...

I currently work for the Union Pacific railroad, I don’t completely understand the 2-tiered railroad retirement system. Can anyone help better explain it to me. The only people I can talk to work under the old Southern Pacific agreement and fall under TPA. My question is this:
If I work for 30 years and retire exactly at 60 years of age and never make more than 50k a year what should my retirement look like per month or yearly. I know it goes off my 3 best years but that doesn’t really help me much. Also do any of you know what the average retirement for a conductor is? (I am a conductor)
Thank you very much for your time and answers.

I am getting ready to leave the US Army and am looking at the railroads for a job. I am wondering (pay excluded) which job is overall better? I am eligible for the management position, but that requires me to move around. I do the conductor job, I will be able to move back home to Ohio. I need someone who is experienced with the conductor position to help. Thanks
