Although electric cars look to have amazing acceleration, they make the same noise my radio controlled model makes. I can envisage petrol-heads buying sound systems to make them play the sound of a big 6 litre gas guzzling monster. Or has it been done already?

I am writing a story for school and want to give my character car trouble, but I don't know much about cars. I want all of the lights on the car to go out while driving and not come back on. Dash lights can stay, but headlights, taillights, and turn signals should not work. What should I "break" on the car?

P.S.: You can suggest the model and make of a car to make it easier, but I would prefer a family vehicle, like a sedan or something.

Please - spare me the clap trap about the big three being the only American built cars. Most of these cars are either assembled in Mexico or Canada, or are made with parts that have come from a foreign source. And the multi-national status of the big three makes me wonder what portion of each of them in actually owned by Americans, and how much is owned by foreign investors anyway.

What I want to know is if any of the other car companies, Toyota, Hyundai, Honda ... make a car that has more US made parts, and US labor in them, than the ones the big three are selling.

Please provide sources for your claims if you can.

I'm getting a vanity license plate for my truck, and I'm having some trouble thinking of one. I'm in Ohio, and it can only be 7 characters. I'm leaning towards "REVN UP", but I don't know yet. You can click on this link and type in your suggestion to see if it's took:

https://www.oplates.com/NameLookup/PlateLookupWizard2.asp?ID=OZHDYUXHFJWYCGAMNAHODYITWFPYKFJFXBUHBCXLBDTFMOFQLM

I really want something to do with my truck (Ford F150), and also something that will get a reaction. Thanks in advance.

We are needing a weight limit for the access bridge where we live and need to know if it will take the weight of a normal household waste vehicle.

Is it very physically demanding? Do you have to be very strong, and or tall? Is there alot of physical labor usually associated with it? Or is it mostly just driving?

I have a 07 Dodge Nitro and me and my husband (especially my husband) do not like dints and dings on our car. If it gets the slightest dent that maybe i can't even see, he hauls it to a body shop, pays the deductible and gets it fixed.

I work at a big company. About 900 or more employees. Now I get to work early and get a front row parking spot. I walked to my car a second ago and this car is parked extra close to my truck all because 3 cars down someone didn't park between the lines. They parked on a line!

so now i have to worry all day long if someone is going to hit my truck with their door. I honestly feel like moving my truck but i shouldn't have to.

BTW The same thing happens at my apt. complex. No one ever parks in between the lines!

I think I might make up some fake parking tickets and start slapping them on peoples cars!

Does anyone else hate this!?

I have an old Renault Twingo and every morning it's covered in condensation on the outside. When I get in it also steams up inside and remains so for 5-10 minutes, even if I turn on the heating full blast and open the windows. (It doesn't have air con.) Is there anything I can do to reduce this problem?

What on earth are the government thinking about?

The reason why there are pedestrian deaths on the roads is overwhelmingly as a result of stupid pedestrians stepping into the roads and getting hit by cars.
The solution to this is not to force car drivers to slow down but to educate pedestrians to stay on the pavement!

What's next? A return to having a bloke with a red flag walking in front of every vehicle, and driving with your handbrake on at all times.

Idiots!

I am 17 years old and I was just wondering, it says on the California DMV website that the car has to be legal with a front and back lisence plate on it, but if you just bought a new car and the DMV hasn't sent you your license plates yet, then can you still take the test with that car??? It has the little registration packet taped to the front window still, so if it is legal to drive on the streets then it should be legal to take on the streets with a driving instructor, right?
