driving with bald tires is completely irresponsible. you may have hurt someone or worse. you are very lucky to have just caused property damage.
you did something stupid and now you will have to pay the price and accept it. i would put money on the fact that you won't ever do it again.

it depend on the police report ot what did they wrote in the ticket did it say like something hazardous tires, or did u get a ticket because of accident. best thing to do , is go to the court early and wait to see the police that gave u the ticket , and just ry to talk to him and ask him what would happen and if he can reduce or drop some of the charges and not get points or something . if the police don't show up then just stay mute and don't plea quilty , the case would be either dismiss or they would reschedule another court day and if the police don't come again then nothing would happen u don't pay any fine or points .but make sure u don't say anything if the police is not there and if the judge ask u 'how would u liek to plea" say "no comment ur honor"

Depends where you are, different police forces set their own priorities, that said failing to maintain a vehicle in a roadworthy state effectively means you've invalidated your MOT. Without a valid MOT you're giving your insurance company the opportunity to negate their responsibility to pay out for the damage caused by you and they're slimy turds so they might well try and calim you invalidated your cover, so it could be argued that you were driving a vehicle without MOT or insurance.

Let's face it you're going to get your **** kicked and if you're honest with yourself you deserve it - people mistakenly think that driving is a right, it isn't.
You have 2 options: be honest, you didn't do what you are required to do to maintain a roadworthy vehicle, admit to it, apologise, assuming you've learnt by this admit that it'll never happen again and take your punishment like a man, OR use whatever means you can in an attempt to shirk your responsibility, get a solicitor, lie, admit nothing, give the appearance of being sorry and hope you'll get off and convince yourself that you're not a wakner.

Depends upon you really - I hope you get sh1t on it's purely luck that you didn't kill or maime someone - you're a driving ****.

England law is 3 points for each bald tyre, and upto £1000 fine for each bald tyre.

So, worst case scenario, 6 points and £2000 fine.

I doubt that will happen though.

If you can afford it, get a solicitor, and if you can't afford it, apply for legal aid and still get one (yellow pages, any law firm will advise you).

Show your car is in normally good nick by giving the court your log book (if used), and receipts to prove you have always had your car serviced.

If no solicitor, you get a duty one free when you go to court, but he will not know the case, and you will not know him/her.

Hop your insurance has paid out, and buy the plant pot owner some flowers (and a plant pot), but get a receipt as proof you have done this.

Probable outcome.

6 Points and a fine, maybe £500-£1000.

Good luck kid.

(ps, dress nice in court and cry whilst saying sorry)

Your insurance won't pay out for your car or anyone else's so after the court case, expect to be sued by the council for the bollards and the owner of the other car in the civil courts, so you'd be best off trying to reach a settlement with them. Your insurance won't pay your legal costs and going forward your premiums will be between 3 and 10 times as high as normal.

to be honest mate it does not sound from what you said that you where being malicious about the whole thing i.e. you didn't ram the car on purpose, so just go get yourself a solicitor, tell all to your insurance company and all should be OK you may loose all your no claims but don't stress about going to court if they are charging you with dangerous driving plead not guilty and give your proof that it was not intentional as you would rather not have trashed your car

best of luck

Just wait and see... the police will determine if there would be charges to be filed against you. and most likely, you should be aware of your civil liability due to the damages(?) it caused with the accident you had. but most probably, there would be no problem with regards to your licence unless the police have seen prima facie evidence that would sent you to court and would affect the validity of your drivers licence....

for a while, just take it easy!

Probably dangerous driving given the condition of the tyres.....it is your responsibility as the car owner to ensure that the car is roadworthy at all times..........show them your last MOT. You will probably get a fine of sorts.

your insurance company wont pay out, i hope you had legal cover for the sake of the owners of the property you damaged....i`ve been driving for 20 years claim free and in the space of 6 months i had to make 2 claims (neither my fault, arson and storm damage) and i dropped to 1 year NCB. you`d be lucky to get insurance again.
