I have a 07 Dodge Nitro and me and my husband (especially my husband) do not like dints and dings on our car. If it gets the slightest dent that maybe i can't even see, he hauls it to a body shop, pays the deductible and gets it fixed.

I work at a big company. About 900 or more employees. Now I get to work early and get a front row parking spot. I walked to my car a second ago and this car is parked extra close to my truck all because 3 cars down someone didn't park between the lines. They parked on a line!

so now i have to worry all day long if someone is going to hit my truck with their door. I honestly feel like moving my truck but i shouldn't have to.

BTW The same thing happens at my apt. complex. No one ever parks in between the lines!

I think I might make up some fake parking tickets and start slapping them on peoples cars!

Does anyone else hate this!?

right on! When people park in two spaces at my work, I tell the security guards to leave them notes in hopes that if I complain enough they'll tow them away! I can't stand that either!(but I dont about dinging them on purpose.... that 's kind of mean. Two wrongs don't make a right) :-)

Kick their @SS! Leave em a little note.....uh lets see..."Because of yer bull-headed, inconsiderate, feeble attempt at parking, you have taken enough room for a 20 mule team, two elephants, 1 goat, and a safari of pigmies from the African dessert. The reason for giving you this note, is so, that in the future you may think of someone else other than yerself! Besisdes, I don't like egotistical, simple-minded @ss-holes, and I'm sure you fall into that category!
I sign off, wishing you an early transmission failure(preferrabley on the highway around rush hour....also, may the fleas of a thousand camels infest yer armpits!"

Hate? That's a strong word. Though I did once put a nice note asking that someone be more careful when parking in the future (they were taking 1.5 spots at a crowded commuter lot).
Of course, I was extra piqued because they backed into a spot so that they were set up to drive the wrong way down a one-way road to exit the parking area, but that's another matter entirely.

While I too despise the fact that some people either take up two parking spaces or just plain can't park their vehicles it seems as though you and your husband are a bit too anal over your truck. After all it's a truck, meant for work not to look pretty. How do you react when you reach a road construction site and a stone happens to fly up off the road? Come on calm down a bit and as to you don't see why you should have to move your truck, how about so it doesn't get bumped, isn't that a good enough reason. BTW the security guards are not your own personal police force either, get a life, cars and trucks get dings it's just what happens.

my daughter works at a store at a shopping mall. If someone parks over the line they get a ticket. the person that parked there probably did so thinking about the car next to her dinging their car. I try to park as far away as possible- meaning not the first row.

Yes I do hate it. I also hate it when people park big SUV's in spots marked compact only.

I knew a guy that would flatten two tires on the offending vehicle then leave a note that said "Two places costs two tires." I do not have the guts to try it.

The most annoying thing is when people who THINK they have nice cars park in TWO spaces. I usually ding them on purpose. If I pull in a space crooked I back up and straighten it out.

It sucks but the worst thing is if you hit my truck please be considerate enough to tell me. That just happened to me on my birthday and now a have a dent in my pass. door. Pist me off cause it was bright orange so someone knew they hit my truck (my truck is charcoal grey). I just got to the point I park away from everyone or at least park on side close to a parking separator so at least one side is safe.

While it is annoying, if it bothers you that much I suggest parking farther away from other cars (for example, on the far end of the lot).
