I was wondering how a person gets scored on a CDL pre trip test and the actual driving test for a Class A license. I am going for my license in a few weeks and I was wondering if it was like my drivers license where I had 25 points or if it is scored differently. I am from Wisconsin, United States, I don't know if that makes a difference or not but I thought I would add that. thanks.

It would cost me almost a thousand dollars to fix the air conditioning in my car. Right now I don't really need the air conditioning because it's still winter, but when summer comes along I might regret the decision to not spend the money on my car. I was wondering how many people think I will regret not repairing my car when summer comes along?

Im considering buying a 2004-2006 Mini Cooper Base ( not S) when I return to the states. I will be moving to a colder climate than I am use to and will be needing to purchase snow tires/ winter tires. I cannot seem to find ANY information on how much a set of snow/winter tires for this vehicle would cost. I went on Ebay and looked, and found a set w/ wheels for 800 bucks, but all Im looking for is the cost of the tires. I also have a Saturn, and looked that up w/out a problem ( $450 for a set). Would this be a good estimate for the mini cooper's tires?Where could I find info on mini cooper tires online? Have been quite unlucky with the known brands ( Goodyear, Firestone, ECT.)websites. Just need basic snow tires, nothing high performance or sport. I have to start saving ASAP.

I read somewhere that if you "flash" the computer in your vehicle that you could gain some extra power as well as fuel milage. If so how do I go about it or do I need special equipment ie. someone that knows what they are doing to do it. If it is true is it worth the time or money ?? Any info will be greatly appreciated!!

I had my permit in my pants pocket and my mom put them in the washing machine. To go to the DMV what do i need? I have my permit reciept from the Driver's Education teacher, money to pay for a new one, and a photo I.D. Is there anything else I need? Does a parent have to go with me for me to get it or not because I have proof that I had my permit.

(I live in Illinois)

Hey, I have a 98' chevy blazer LT. it was my fathers but i have recentyl aquired it. Jus for info purposes, it is a vortec v6 4.3 liter. 190hp@4400 (stock that is)(o an its automatic also). now i jus went out to a empty street and timed my 0-60 time, i clocked it at 9 seconds. Is that a bad time? I realize that its an older SUV, and i was jus wondering how it compares to some of the newer type cars. And what are (if any) cheap any non-major things i can do to my car to improve it time. thanks.

I like a bench seat. I am used to Lincoln Continental and Cadillac bench seats. But would like to graduate to a SUV (not a truck), so I can sit higher up, away from the fumes. I don't want a truck, but an SUV. I have a rather large bottom (rear end) and don't fit too well into bucket seats. because the seat belt jabs me in the buttocks. Auto manufacturers design their vehicles for skinney butted men, with disregard for the sometimes copious female anatomy and female habits.
Women usually have a large pocket books and other bags or shopping returns or books etc that they take with them into the car. It is really conventient to throw these in the front seat, instead of opening the back door first . Many women don't like to have their large purses in the rear behind them or jammed in a compartment, they want them next to them. It makes them feel safer having credit cards and money and ID right next to them. What SUV would be best for us.

I have a newer Chevy Silverado (2004) - anyone know why it is impossible to lift the windshield wipers more than like 6 inches off the windshield? My 1999 allowed me to pull them way back to clean and to avoid freezing. I tried to pull back on my current ones - but I'm afraid I'm going to break them. Anyone else have similar experience or know of a solution? I see nothing mentioned in the manual and hope they haven't changed things with the newer model.
