i thought of a new way to cut the pollution from cars
right on the m25 the govt could do this... i thought of a turbine like machine that is facing the road and constantly sucking in air, which then runs through a filter and 'cleaner' air is dispersed from the top, also using a fan like device.thus sucking a lot of exhaust fumes into this machine and cleaing the air....
what u think? can it be done? iff its possible would the government take any notice? let me know what you guys think before i go any further.. thanks Dunnage9

Due to my own personal preference, I don't really like the smell of Air fresheners(the little tree ones) maybe because I live in Southern California; the heat doesn't blend well with the smells.

I've heard about Baking Soda, but have never heard that it could be used to neutralize odor or eliminate it from coming in your car, Is this true? and if it is, why doesn't everyone use Baking Soda instead? I mean there's no smell to it, isn't that the obvious better choice?

Everyone's opinions are welcome, thanks

I was attempting to pass a vehicle and had plenty of room, when I went into the left lane to pass my wheels hydroplaned due to the weather. When I realised I couldnt make it, I swirved to the left shoulder to avoid two oncoming cars. The first car was fine and went past me on the road as usual, the second car, for whatever reason, swirved to the left shoulder (her right) which put her facing me head on on the shoulder. We both swirved right to avoid the wreck, I ended up back on the road and she stopped up by the ditch. She didnt hit anything, but it was considered an "accident". I got a ticket for improper passing. Can she sue me? I am from Louisiana, but this happened in Arkansas. Does anyone know about how much my ticket will be?

Serious answers only please.

The average number of occupants per vehicle on the road in North America is 1.2; that means that only one in five cars has two or more occupants. Do you car pool? What do you do personally do to minimize mpg per seat? Anything? Do you even realize that driving a near empty vehicle is wasteful no matter how good it is on gas? That goes for public transit as well.

Why in the USA ,car manufacturers don't offer a small DIESEL engine cars which they offer in the Europe?
Those small DIESEL engine cars get 60+ miles per gallon and are 30-50% from overall car sales numbers in Europe. Those cars are also 30-35% more fuel efficient than gasoline engine ones and get same CO2 emissions than gasoline engines or better. Those DIESEL engines last longer and require less maintenance than gasoline engine's.
There is Ford's,GM (European model's called Vauxhall and Opel) ,Volkswagen's,Toyota's and etc. for sale in the Europe...
Those cars cost only $12,000-$15,000 a piece.
TOYOTA PRIUS and HONDA INSIGHT AREN'T ONLY CARS GETTING 60+ miles per gallon!
I am just sicken tired of lies which Ford and GM tell to American consumer. If they would be patriotic companies, they would sell same fuel effient DIESEL cars here at USA as they do around the Europe and around the world.

I had to enroll in this technology class, because all the other possible courses were full. Therefore, I am not very familiar with design or developing a prototype vehicle, or the other steps involved.

Does anyone know how to construct an electric vehicle, or do they know a helpful site that explains the
process (including design considerations, the type of batteries and motor to use, cost, and other materials needed)?

Your help is appreciated...Thanks in advance!

I have a 99 eclipse spyder turbo, my trade in is from 7500-8500 dollars. I make about a thousand dollars a month and have about 300 dollars a month after paying bills for payments. I'm 18 I don't have any debts or owe anyone anything but I don't think I have any credit because I'm so young. I do have a co-signer though. I am looking for a new car- I was looking at the Jeep Commander but I need something that is fast (compared to my eclipse) and I don't know what kind of power these things have... I was also looking at the H3 there pretty nice my brother has one and he just ordered some new 30" rims for them! It's nice but I don't know if I can afford one. I'm looking for something at least as fast as my eclipse turbo was it could be an SUV or a sports car- Any help?
