What is the point of a spoiler on a daily driver? Will it help the aerodynamics or something? Or are they just for looks?

Unless you are trying to achieve a land speed record, spoilers are mostly for the visual effect. My chrysler crossfire has an autoextending one that lifts when I hit about 60 mph. I really havent noticed any difference when it kicks out...

Spoilers are mainly just for looks, and the functionality of spoilers on the highway are basically zilch. They will not improve your gas mileage due to better aereodynamics.

I think it depends on the kind of spoiler you are talking fast and the furious? or a small spoiler and it depends on the vehicle it goes on as well

Spoilers serve no purpose on automobiles that are driven at legal highway speeds.

Gives downforce, not much, pretty much pointless but hey, some look real good.
