Be careful. A friend of mine asked Swansea if a particular plate had been issued (in 1966). On being told it had never been issued, he asked if he could buy it. "Sorry" said Swansea, "now that someone has shown an interest, it will have to go to auction"
Result.......... It cost him £2500 at the Harrogate auctions
P.S. 57 Plates come out in September.
Good Luck anyway

You will have to buy a new yellow car to go with it because this series does not come out till Sept. '07 and you cannot make a car look newer than the plate, only the same age or older.

In all likelihood, you're not going to be able to buy the plate number you want "off-the-shelf". If you want a "Vanity Plate" (one with custom sentiments, number combinations, etc) you'll have to fill out a vanity plate application (available as an option at your local DMV office), pay the extra fees they require and hope your number is available. (Note: you will not be able to request certain combinations, which are deemed "unacceptable, vulgar or obscene - don't even ask for I812, 4Q2, IH8U or anything along those lines as you won't get it!)
