It would cost me almost a thousand dollars to fix the air conditioning in my car. Right now I don't really need the air conditioning because it's still winter, but when summer comes along I might regret the decision to not spend the money on my car. I was wondering how many people think I will regret not repairing my car when summer comes along?

Do you know what the problem is with your air conditioner? $1000.00 sounds like you should get a couple more estimates. The most expensive part of your A/C is the compressor. All the other parts and hoses aren't that much.

If you don't need the A/C yet wait until late spring to have it repaired, but before it gets really hot in your location. That is when the A/C shops get really busy. Waiting will give you a chance to save up some money for the repair.

My husbands air conditioner broke, he didn't fix it, and asks to use my air conditioned car as much as possible. Sometimes I feel guilty riding around in a nice and cool air conditioned car when it's 95 degrees out and he's stuck in rush hour traffic. He has to ride around with a huge bottle of water to drink. He didn't fixed it, thinking the car wouldn't last very long anyways. It has been three years now. He's a lot tougher than I would be!

Wait on it, you don't need it right now but get it done before summer, maybe the last of April. Make sure you get at least three estimates.
