Im considering buying a 2004-2006 Mini Cooper Base ( not S) when I return to the states. I will be moving to a colder climate than I am use to and will be needing to purchase snow tires/ winter tires. I cannot seem to find ANY information on how much a set of snow/winter tires for this vehicle would cost. I went on Ebay and looked, and found a set w/ wheels for 800 bucks, but all Im looking for is the cost of the tires. I also have a Saturn, and looked that up w/out a problem ( $450 for a set). Would this be a good estimate for the mini cooper's tires?Where could I find info on mini cooper tires online? Have been quite unlucky with the known brands ( Goodyear, Firestone, ECT.)websites. Just need basic snow tires, nothing high performance or sport. I have to start saving ASAP.

Its going to be used as a second car. I will be driving the Saturn, my hubby the Mini, so both will have to be run during the winter. Did a little research after I posted the question, and saw that some radial tires may be good enough, but still would like the info. Im moving to the Omaha, Nebraska area, so Im assuming that I even need them.
