I read somewhere that if you "flash" the computer in your vehicle that you could gain some extra power as well as fuel milage. If so how do I go about it or do I need special equipment ie. someone that knows what they are doing to do it. If it is true is it worth the time or money ?? Any info will be greatly appreciated!!

Flashing the computer is basically when the technician re-programs the computer. All it does is bring the vehicle back to its stock position; it does not enhance the performance. To enhance the performance, the computer has to be re-programmed or simply go buy a chip to put in line with the computer harness. If you are mechanically inclined, it is not that difficult to do. The equipment itself costs around $10,000; that is why only the dealer or some specialty shops have the capability to re-flash the computer.
