Every few days some bigot posts a question on here about these dreadful 4X4's. As the owner of one, I really don't take any notice of these people, they haven't the faintest idea what they are talking about. They lump all 4X4's together, ignoring the fact that although some are heavy on fuel, so are many 4X2's, they may pollute the atmosphere, but so do many 4X2's. The list goes on. I can't afford to run 2 cars, and anyway, why should I? We use it for everyday use, my wife drives to work and back, and we go to feed her horse, which is incidentally up a very rough and muddy lane. We tow the hprse trailer with it, and I'm happy to potter along at no more than the legal limit. If I hold up a few speed merchants so what? I paid for the car, and I pay to run it. If I pay more for tax and fuel, so what? Remember all you sad drivers of tiny cars, I'm subsidising you! I accept your apology for being ignorant about cars, and hope one day you meet a 4X4 driver who cares about what you think!

i'm only 16, I have my permit. I havn't been driving for about 3 months now, and i'm scared....every friday night I told my dad to wake up early next morning to go driving with me. but when it comes to saturday morning, i get all nervous and say let's do it next week...and next week and next week...I don't know why I just get so nervous when I have to drive....but at the same time, i'm always jealous of my friends, most of them already have their own car, and I really want my own car too. but the problem is, I'm scared...how am I suppose to get my license.? anybody has the same situation?
also is there any tip? because I suck at turning...but when I'm in a empty parking lot, I can turn perfectly, but once I get on the road, I see cars on the opposite of the road, and I'm afraid when I turn, i'll hit their car...cuz my turning angle is pretty big...
HELPP!!!

. I was staing in handicape place and police oficer give me a ticket for parking in handicape space. He flashed me , but I was scared I didn/t understand that Ihave to move so he write a ticket, I was in car.We got a ticket in NY for wrong parking and there wasn/t mention the tipe of car so we dismis that ticket
In this ticket there is not mention the meter number . can I send it and ask for dismising this ticket. I read this low for NY, http://www.nyc.gov/html/dof/html/pdf/04pdf/parking_rules39.pdf but I cant find same thing for Stamford cT. Pleas if you know HELP

Why cant Americans just be like the rest of the world?
Other countries play sports like soccer, rugby, cricket etc, Americans must invent American Football, Baseball and Basketball!!
Americans must drive on the right side of the road?!
Why cant Americans just speak English the way it was invented?!
The list could go on forever!!
PS....I admire Americans and have no problems with them or their culture, just wondering why all the differences!!

This is for a 2000 Subaru Outback.

My understanding of the difference between 4WD and AWD is that 4WD is supplying power constantly to all 4 wheels and AWD is computer-controlled, supplying power to 2 to 4 wheels, as needed. If I were to put only two chains on an AWD, is that even advisable and if so, which two tires should they go on?

I am renting a 4 x 8-foot trailer (empty weight 680 lbs) from U-Haul to pull behind my 2006 Saturn Ion. I have 850 lbs of stuff to put into it. U-haul folks assure me this is fine. Saturn folks tell me no more than 1500 lbs (1300 is preferable) can be towed by my car. Has anyone done this or have any wisdom for me? Thanks. BTW, I will be taking I-10 from Florida to AZ up to Utah on I-15.
