At high RPM (ie just before shifting up), I hear a sound like "high-pitch" jingling keys. I noticed the sound for the first time when I recently switched to an open face helmet from my former closed, full visor helmet. Oddly, the sound is the only symptom. I don't notice any drop in power at any speed. I'm not feeling unusual vibration. I'm not burning oil. Perhaps it's nothing to worry about?

The specs for this bike says:

-size 71 x 19 x 35 Inches seat height 30 Inches-

and they say its compared to the look of a GSXR which it kind of does but is it the same size or smaller than a GSXR? Being a 125cc can I expect it to really go 65+ mph?

And if it really is full sized bike in the state of PA what would I need to drive it on the street... would I need a motorcycle license?

I know most of us that go racing dirt bikes are members and the magazine has a bunch of road-relevant stuff. Just wondering are you or aren't you members. When you see the AMA sticker on my car do you feel better that I'm being careful around you guys ?

I was told at the dealership to keep under 65 the first 500 miles. It is a Harley Sportster if it makes a difference.

how does suicide clutch or shift work on a motorcycle? I believe this was normally on older bikes, pre 1950 and is still used on some new custom bikes. But I'd like to know how it originally worked without modern things like the "auto clutch"

Thanks

Is it a masculinity thing? Do you not feel like a man unless your bike is all loud and annoying? Do you like attracting attention, even if it's mostly negative? Do you think people want to hear your damn bike? It must be an erection thing, that's all I can figure. Your bike goes "VROOM VROOM VROOM" and you get all sexually excited. I can tell you this: Any woman turned on by such a thing has only air between her ears.

I have a friend who is having a Harley-themed wedding and she can't find any Harley or motorcycle confetti. I've looked for a while on the internet and couldn't find anything. If you find some, please let me know where.

When I ride over those bridges that open, that have a steel roadway surface, (we have quite a few of those in Massachusetts) I feel like I have very little traction and have to be extra careful and slow. ie. no more than 30 mph. Is this truly the case or is it just time for a new rear tire? How many miles should one expect on motorcycle tires?

He just got his learners permit has never rode a motorcycle ever and is about to go and purchase a motorcycle from a clot. He assumes hes going to drive it home from the shop since he has his permit now. I told him I would find somebody with a motorcycle to let him ride it for a min to get the feel for it before he takes it out on the road. But he feels hell be fine he lives in louisville and is going to be on highway and heavy traffic areas. Does this sound like a good idea he said something about an 18 hour course but just scoffed at the idea. He feels hes super man i guess. What do you think? He also kows nothing about bikes and said hes going to trust the dealer that its a good bike not even planning on test driving it or bringing anybody who knows anything about bikes.Stupid or what?

Just got back from a weekend with my hubby's motorcycle club. We had lots of rain and it wasn't pleasant for some of the rode trip.

My question to you is: Is it about the journey or the destination? LOL
