At high RPM (ie just before shifting up), I hear a sound like "high-pitch" jingling keys. I noticed the sound for the first time when I recently switched to an open face helmet from my former closed, full visor helmet. Oddly, the sound is the only symptom. I don't notice any drop in power at any speed. I'm not feeling unusual vibration. I'm not burning oil. Perhaps it's nothing to worry about?

Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions.
We need all of that info to give an informed answer.
Different years of the same model have different maintenance intervals because of changing materials and tolerance specs.
The mileage of your bike would have been helpful.
Some manufacturers recommend adjusting the valves right after break-in (600mi)
It's a good practice to adjust them no more than every 5,000
mi.

On my Intruder 1400, I noticed a similar sound, but at varying RPMs. It ended up being a loose washer on the floorboards that the previous owner installed.

There will be some to tell you to get them adjusted...and there will be guys like me that will tell you don't fix it if it ain't broke. I bought a VS800 from one delaer and he insisted the valves be adjusted at 600 miles...I pay for that! I didn't get them adjusted and when I sold the bike with 12,000 miles on it with "unadjusted" valves it still ran strong. I then purchased an LC1500 from another dealer and he told me that unless I had a problem with my valves he wouldn't even consider an adjustment until 30,000 miles...but he also said "we'll listen to them...if they sound okay we won't adjust them". Do what you want but if it's running okay....leave it alone.
