I wear contacts when I ride and really haven't had any problems.I usually wear wrap around sun glasses and no helmet most of the time.I use disposable contacts so they are cheap if I were to lose one,Which I haven't done yet .It has no effect on the contacts.

lucky for me, i have 20/20. But I've been riding for about 10 years, so I might be of help. I would use a full face helmet and there is a company that is called Scorpion. They have a soft plastic that goes around the top of ur nose, kinda like a dusk mask. What that does is eliminates fogging while ur stopped. It will also keep the wind out of the face area. Or u might try goggles. Another idea is, get u a pair of prescription glasses to wear when ur riding (if its an all day thing), instead of wearing ur contacts. Just my 2 cents

I wear contacts and have been riding for years. I usually don't wear a helmet and I haven't had any problems. I would be more concerned about losing a contact because I wouldn't be able to see. Much less about losing the contact. You shouldn't have any problem if you wear decent eye protection. I may get a speck of dust or something every now and then. But nothing major or ever lost a contract. Get a decent pair of sunglass or eye protection and you'll be fine.

You should always wear some type of eye protection when riding a motorcycle. It can be a face shield on a helmet, goggles or even sunglasses. The first time you catch an insect in one of your eyes, you'll know why. This will also protect your contacts and keep them from becoming dried out. I wear contacts while riding and have never had a problem, and I always wear eye protection.

I ride with contacts with a full face helmet and the main issue I run into with the face shield up is that my contacts get dry when I ride. If you don't have a full face shield, it might be a good idea to get a set of goggles.
Wiley X makes a great pair of sunglasses that you can take off the temples and turn them into goggles with snap in elastic band. They're great for riding and they're also used by many military servicemen.

My contacts do dry out and eventually fall out if I ride without some sort of eye protections. I use oakley minutes sunglasses since they wrap around my face. I have tried "cheap" sunglasses but they did not work as well as my oakleys. If i am not wearing sunglasses i ride with a full face helmet.

Eye protection is a must. Either rated glasses, for impact protection, or a face shield on the helmet. Even if you have a windshield wear some sort of eye protection. I wear contacts and have never had a problem.

What are you asking. You seem to have made a statement. Yes it would ridiculous to think your contacts wouldn't be ruined. Why would you ride without eye covering. Surely you can wear your glasses. I would be more concerned about seeing than being called four eyes.

I wear contacts, and occasionally ride with an open face and no sunglasses. It hasn't been a problem for me yet, but it sure as hell isn't pleasant at speeds above 40. Get goggles or sunglasses.

Bad Mother Clucker is right on. I've riden for years wearing contacts and have never had one fall out. Sunglasses or goggles are a must.
