i came off scooter 2 weeks ago, i was coming back from parents and i had turned left off a roundabout and was on the straight when the backend slid out, i have broken ankle and couple of marks. It has not put me off riding - Sh*t happens. I got a Yamaha SR125 as scooters seem more prone to this however since going out after accident i brick it when coming to corners in wet weather and have no confidence in the bike staying up, any advice or other people had anything similar ?

Hi all,

I'm considering buying a 50cc Moped in paticular a 'JMSTAR MADNESS 50QT' and have a few questions...

1) The advert for it states that it is not registered and I would need to do this myself - what is involved in doing this?

2) Do you need anyother safety clothing apart from a helmet for using a moped ?

3) how long does a full tank of petrol last with a moped ?

I am in two minds about this as really I coud use a bicycle and save on petrol, insurance, road tax etc however would a moped be better because I woudnt need to pedal ?

any good advice is welcome and thank you in advance :)

I just picked up a kit that contains a pair of new plugs, points, and a condensor on Ebay. I have no idea what a condensor is or where it's located at on my bike. My Clymer manual is completely silent on the topic. Does anyone else know?

I've recently purchased a 50cc Honda Motorcycle. It has street legal tires, blinkers, headlights, mud flaps and even a dink little horn.

I went down to my local DMV and tried to figure out if a 50cc bike is required to be registered AND if the driver has to be licence but neither the people working at the DMV knew nor did any of their books clearly state if it was or not.

Anyone know where I can at least look up the laws? I live in Kootenai County, Idaho.

Fluid may contain water.Just bought a brake bleeder vacuum pump to rid lines of intire bad fluid. I think this problem may be causing my brakes to drag and warp my rotor.

I have to wait about a minute then it will start again for 30 secs, will not start unless wait a while. Check the fuel filter, gas is there and it is in correctly. Just purchased it online - no help from the dealer, it is new JMSTAR - YP250 Lanhai motor. Thanks for any help on this -

I first saw it back in CA in the mid eighties. Never noticed it in Europe. Last few years it seems to have fallen out of favor. Seems more and more waves go unreturned. (I notice this seems to be mostly by rice bikes. Not only the crotch rockets which probably can't take a hand off the bars, but the big garbage barge rice tour bikes.)

Just an aside. it never fails to amaze me when a whole fleet of bikes is coming your way, you wave, and all the arms seem to come out in unison, and retract the same way. Almost like a parade ground manuver. It still impressive, no matter how many times I see it.

I purchased the universal exhaust from J&P and need the mounting hardware to fit it onto my 750. I can't find it anywhere. The vendors on ebay won't give it up.

I need a reducer from 1.75 to 1.25 to fit the stock head pipes.

Please help!

It's an '81 Honda CB400. The engine revs up but doesn't develop much power and acceleration is slow. I cleaned out the carbs so I think they are ok. I'm wondering how much the exhaust system, carb synchronization or valve adjustment can affect the power output. Plus any other useful thoughts people have.
