Always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer.
Do you mean the belt light won't go off?
Whenever the battery is dis-connected, that will activate the belt light. Or if the belt switch is activated.
--Do this procedure with a fully charged battery that is connected.
--Comming out of the belt cover (right side engine cover) dis-connect that wire.
--In the area of that connector, are 2 other connectors (a black & a gray). Unplug them. Plug the black into the gray connector and plug the gray connector into the black.
--Turn on the key.
--The belt light will start flashing.
--I forget the following procedure. Either
1) Wait 5 seconds and turn off the key.
2) Wait until the belt light stops flashing and turn off they.
3) Wait until the belt light starts flashing faster and turn off the key.
--Then plug everything back togerther correctly.
