I just raise my hand.
If it's on my leg, that's below.
If it's on the bar, that's above.
If I'm on the clutch, oh well.

I have a few friends that all ride together and we all wave below the bars with a finger...not the middle one of course...this way you really dont need to take your eyes off the road, or lose control of the bike. Like if you were to wave above the bike, the wind just doesnt work with ya! Happy ridin, and enjoy the bike!! I miss the rides!

I'm a new rider so I nod (too frightened to take my hands off the handle bars to wave) but 99% of the time I get a nod back (or wave) It is nice to acknowledge other riders & be acknowledge for riding as well (most motorcyclists have great community spirit!)

Depends on what I'm doing at the time ie road conditions (whether a it's a bend or straight, smooth or dangerously unstable due to gravel, debris, holes in the surface), and speed, (of mine & other rider) also weather conditions, Generally I nod but ocassianally I wave. (and its sort of in line with the handle bars - sports bike rider). I do this because it shows respect, camaraderie, and good will to all other riders regardless of age, sex, beliefs or what bike they ride.

Well, I generally go high at low speeds and low at high speeds. A regular wave below about 35 MPH, and above then I just extend my arm and hold it about waist level palm facing forward. This for bikes coming in my direction.

If I'm passin', or they are, I give a little double tap on the horn button. Not enough to alarm them, just a quick two bip button hit. Kinda like the road runner noise, but with the hog horn noise instead of a beep.

Why wave? I'm riding and minding my own business. If I waved at everyone while driving my car I'd be locked up in the local nut house. Riding is an absolute solo thing unless if you choose to ride with a group

If I'm doing more than 40 - 45 mph I will wave down due to windblast. Otherwise I'll give a normal wave.

Below the bars seems to be the way around here. I just appreciate a friendly acknowledgement and appreciation for the hobby.

I think that it is awesome that we a have community of bikers that see past everything that we may have different and make an effort to recognize a similar interest.

Riding motorcycles is awesome!!
