I met someone that used to work as a marketing consultant for Harley. He said that in the study he was commissioned to do for HD, they found out after doing a pretty intensive survey, that the average Harley owner puts only 1,150 miles per year on their bikes. I didn't believe him, but he said that for every new Harley owner that puts 10k miles a year on their bike, there's 8 new owners that put about 600 miles a year. Simply put, a ton of people buy them, and never ride them. I still have a hard time believing it, what do y'all think?

Hi the rain storm in Mumba on 4-july submerged my Honda Unicorn 150CC bike submerged in water for around 5-6 hours. Its a year old bike.

It got submerged till the base of the petrol tank. Most of the mechanics and engine were under water.

I am scared on what to do next. The storm has caused the service centers and local mechanics not to turn up.

I know a couple of donts like dont start the electrical start of any electrical lights. Anything else I can do ??

I really need some help in cleaning up the carbs on my two honda 3 wheelers. both of them have the little mikuni carbs, i believe. i've had the carbs apart more times than i can imagine and cleaned, poked and prodded every orifice i could find. blew out everything with compressed air. put them back on the bikes and NOTHING.

this sucks---as some of my friends on the Suzuki RE5 list keep pointing out--if you have air, gas and a spark--the engine HAS to run. i've got air and spark but just can't seem to figure out what i'm doing wrong with the carbs. can anyone recommend a good carb cleaning/tinkering book? i have haynes manuals---no good. what am i missing?

these damn carbs are like so much voodoo to me---after you've had them apart and cleaned and blown out with air over and over and they STILL don't work!

thanks for your input!
