Motorcycles - June 2006

Germany started the pressure and now all of the motorcycle manufacturers have agreed to limit new motorcycles to a top speed of 186 mph.
Nobody seems to worried when cars as common as corvettes can reach nearly 200ph! if a car gets out of control at that speed, the damage it can do is far greater than whatever any bike can do, just because of the laws of physics (mass and kinetic energy, all that).
Why the uproar? EVERY SINGLE VEHICLE SOLD IN THIS COUNTRY CAN BREAK THE SPEED LIMIT!
so why the arbitrary number of 186 for bikes?

I'm looking to buy a motorcycle, ( a cruiser ) What is the best bike for the money. It will be my first bike so I was wondering what cc to get? Someone said not to go more than 800cc. I want the bike that has the best of everything. I was looking at the Suzuki M50 but am leaning towards the Suzuki C50. Looking to spend around $8000, Any thoughts?

well I've been thinking about getting a dirt bike and I'm a big guy and don't know what size would be good for me I havn't weighed myself in ever but I would have to say I'm between 250 and 300 probably closer to 300 but not sure any one know what size bike I should get like as in engine or anything idk any one have any suggestions?

Ran fine 2 weeks ago . Started up today an seems like wants more fuel.Gets bogged down when you give it the throttle.Checked fuel system no water in lines ,or carbs.Fuel filter is clean. Didn't check plugs. It has been raining an awful lot too. So what you think ??

It is still dumping to much gas in the cylinders, fouling my plugs and backfiring, these carbs I just bought are extra clean, they look brand new, and it is still doing the same thing as my old carbs, any ideas, and not smart remarks please

I've been waiting years for a dirt bike and now i finally have the chance...but i realized i still dont know what size i should get according to my height/weight....i'm 6'1" and 150 lb......i dont care what brand..but i was thinking of a Yamaha YZ250F (but i think it might be a lil' to big/powerfull..not sure.thats why i need someones help.lol)...now i'm thinking of a YZ125 or YZ125F(seems small but idk.i'm a noob)..so ya plz help!.thnX

A. Harley doesn't build the best of anything?
B. Harley is not up on current fashion (although retro is becoming chic again)
C. Harley's V-twin is a dinosaur and should be replaced by a modern, liquid engine (and not the V-rod lump either!),

Harley is only a name and people would by a pile of manure if it had a tank that said Harley on it?

Why does Harley complain about foreign bikes when Harley uses Japanese fuel systems, sells leathers made in Korea, and has other, similar, hypocritical policies?

Harley tried to make a modern racer and failed magnificently? Check the AMA records!
Harley still wins dirt track races only because they lobbied to have Japanese bikes limited in displacement (honda was killing harley, boo hoo)
If harley cannot make a decent product, should the gov't continue to help them out?

suzuki99 katanaGSX600F took the to suzuki in Vallejo. they put a new jet kit, cost $550.00, ran for one day. two days later, the bike wouldn't start. called again, told me to bring it back, but will charge me again, just to look at it is $150.00, on top of that other charges will accumulate. if anyone knows what I'm talking about, Please E-Mail me. thanks, & god bless.
