I'm looking to buy a motorcycle, ( a cruiser ) What is the best bike for the money. It will be my first bike so I was wondering what cc to get? Someone said not to go more than 800cc. I want the bike that has the best of everything. I was looking at the Suzuki M50 but am leaning towards the Suzuki C50. Looking to spend around $8000, Any thoughts?

do you want a bike for around town? or one for trips, or both? carrying a passenger? These are all things to consider. IF you can, go to the honda hoot and try as many bikes as you can. Side by side comparisons are the best. You may find that you do not even like the feel of cruisers. I am assuming that you currently do not own a cruiser nor have ever owned one. If you had you would probably not be asking.
You will find that there is not much difference in an 800 versus a 1100 bike. in handling but the quality is always better on the bigger bikes. possibly you should go get a two yr old used bike from a dealer or a new leftover from a year or two ago-HUGE SAVINGS AND A WARRANTY, TOO!

The C50 and M50 really only has a few trim items different (tank, fenders) I just bought the C50 a few weeks ago and so far am pretty impressed. I'm 260 and 6'2 and am quite comfortable on it. I've gotten a lot of comments on how the bike looks and sounds. It'll run me out on the highway at 75 mph easily and gets just under 50 mpg. A co-worker has an 883 sportster and the c50 is much easier to handle. The only knock against the Suzuki Boulevards is the fact that the speedometer reads about 10% high or so on all of them.

I was impressed with the Vulcan. Its liquid cooled, makes good power, seems to handle well and has a bunch of accessories available.

I have not ridden the new Suzukis.

The C 50 gets a lot of very good reviews. They both have the same engine, its just a matter of the style. I like them both too.
