I just bought a 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage, the owners manual wasn't with it, was hoping someone knew what type of oil to use. My guess is 10W-30 But I want to make sure its the right oil for the car.

My car won't turn over, but the battery is charged. I have a 95 Mazda 626. What could the problem be and what's the cheapest way to fix it? Thanks!

It's a 94 Explorer, 6 cyl

I can't see where it is leaking from but it is dripping...more like running...from above and behind the right front tire. It doesn't seem to leak much at all when it's running, but when I shut it off, after a few minutes, it leaks really bad. I tried Bars Leak, but that didn't help at all. Every time I get ready to drive it, I fill up the resevoir and radiator. The resevoir is usually empty after driving 30 miles or so and the radiator usually needs maybe a 1/4 of a gallon.

I haven't had to use my 4x4 in a few months and I forgot to put on on every now an then since. Now I need it and it won't turn on. When I press the button it makes its clicking noised but does not actually engage and the light does not turn on. I've heard that you can try to tap the solenoid on the tranfer case to see if you can free it up. Problem is- I don't know where to look. I'm afraid of hitting somthing with a hammer that shouldn't be hit with a hammer.

Well, my GF left the car lights on last Monday and i got it jump started on Tuesday. Everything worked, but i couldnt drive my car long enough to fully charge the battery. On Weds i tried to start up my engine, heard some clicks (normal for a car thats out a batteries) and the car wont start.

Im a Rutgers Student, so i called RUPD (security) to help jump start my car.

We comes out with a portable starter, then the mistake happened...
He put the neg on the pos and the pos on the neg. Now my car is COMPLETELY dead. No clicks, no interior lights nothing works... EXCEPT the brake lights.

What could this mean?

I filed a complaint and will speak to the Lt.
I just want to know what EXACTLY CAN happen to my car.

Also, i have a after market Head unit and subwoofer system. Could it hurt that?

Thank you SO Much in Advance!

Hey, I've got a 92 ford mustang 5.0. The power steering leaks alot, and I'm considering just removing it. What would be some pros and cons with this decision? I know it will be harder to turn, especially at low speeds. But i've heard that it'll increase performance too. Any thoughts?

I ordered wholesale parts from partstrain on the net because shops want a fortune for them to do a brake job for this car. I'm a mechanical type of guy with tools and such. Can someone who REALLY knows brakes, ABS, please describe the steps I have to go through to get the old discs and pads off and the new ones on? Do I have to buy a parts manual for this car to do this job? A mechanic told me not to try it? of course...something about "dual piston calipers" and having to bleed them after I have the new discs & pads on and ...whatever. I would really appreciate the input and I hope I can get this done because..I can save a fortune. thank you

I have a 1996 Saturn that required $2000 worth of engine work recently. A few days after I got it back the temperature light was coming on. I had to take it back to the shop. I was informed that it is getting oil in the antifreeze and I have a bad head. I was told that it is not worth it to fix the problem.
I am taking a road trip soon that is a 16 hour drive both ways and I'm wondering if I'm going to make it!

Now that winter is here, my car doors keep freezing shut. I have to bang myself up against the door several times and jerk on the handle to get it to loosen up. I am afraid I am going to break the door handles. Any suggestions on what I can do to stop this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

For example, my car drifts to the right slightly whenever I let go of the steering. Even if I steer to the left beforehand, it always goes to the right. But don't all cars drift to some extent? After all, that's why you have to keep steering the car, right?

I just found a tiny hole on the top of my convertible. Is there a product to seal (fix) this little hole so it doesn't get worst. The hole is probably 4mm wide but I'm afraid It can get worst with time. Any product or special glue out there?
Thanks.

I have a 2003 Honda Civic LX Sedan and still have the original tires on it. I was thinking of replacing them but didn't realize how many brands and types of tires are out there. Can someone please point me in the right direction on what types of tires I should consider.

Hello :)

Well, I had just got back from a trip and it has been about 10 degrees here. Upon trying to start my vehiucle, it would ytry to turn over but eventually just not try any longer. The lights on the dash functioned at this point.

Upon trying it the next day, I had no power whatsoever....no dash lights...no beeping...nothing :(.

Is this a battery thing?

i have read thet you need to put heat on full when filling after flushing? doesn`t the coolant flow through the core at all times? is there some control valve or such that controls the coolant flow through the heater core itself? both inlet and outlet hoses are hot? when i turn on heat i only get heat for 15- 20 seconds then lukewarm. and temp gauge starts to lower visibly!!

A guy is coming to my house to replace my rotors. Is it rude to ask if I can watch him so I can learn how to do it myself next time?
