During a ride in late February 2003, I started hearing popping and snapping noises coming from the rear axle of the Jeep under torque reversals at first, but later whenever a turn was made. This problem has been going on for almost 4 years, does anyone have any advice?

I have a 2005 Honda Odessy and a 2006 Civic. Computer uses driving data to determine when to advise servicing. Local mechanicals say do it at regular intervals. One mechanic says 3000 miles, one says 5000 miles and one says 7500 miles.

I am buying two new tires (summer tires). Should I put them on the front or on the back of a Nissan Sentra - front wheel drive? My other two tires are not new. My main concern is which setup will prevent hydroplaning the best. I know from winter driving experience, that putting new winter tires on the front and older ones on the back is plain dumb, since the back end of the car tends to fishtail (on front-wheel drive cars).

I bought an 85 Ford F-150 a few weeks ago. The dealer told me it had been sitting a long time. It had an oil leak and the mechanic told me to put this additive in that would make the seals expand. I did it and now I have many leaks! Why is that and what should I do?

Alright. So I can start my car up fine when the engine is cold. And the engine starts up fine when it is hot as well, but after like say 1-2 minutes it will shut off again. Don't really know what is wrong.

Thanks,
Martin

I've had both outer tie-rod ends replaced (it's a Ford...*sigh*... I know, I know...). The second one I had done by a friend who's a mechanic, though it wasn't professionally aligned. Could that be my problem? Should I check the wear on the wheels? How dangerous is this if left unchecked?

Soemtimes you will put it in park, let off the brakes , only to find out you are in reverse!

Also there are times when I have to shove the gear shift(It is an automatic) up into park to even get it to start. Is there a way to fix it or is the old van beyond help? It is a 1995. Yeah, I'd adore a newer vehicle but we can't do another payment right now.

My bf says no, but I think it does, it just seems like I can see the gas gauge dropping to E. I drive a 01 Chrysler Sebring Coupe...can it just depend on the car?

i have looked up information and i have come to the conclusion that i cannot remove rotors myself. yes there are those of you out there that will say that it is easy, but i'm not mechanically inclined and don't want to screw anything up. i'd rather have someone else do it. i don't know any mechanics, i don't have any mechanic friends, my friends don't have any mechanics they know. and yes i know it will be an arm and a leg but i just want to know. i only need the front done, as they are grinding incredibly bad. please don't be rude, i'm only asking a question.

Bought a K&N filter for a 99 Lincoln navigator, aprox 50 miles later Chek Engine light came on. scaned it with a code reader and it says bank 1 and bank 2 lean. will this hurt my engine if I continue to use this filter. they say that lean bank 1 and lean bank 2 is something to do with the mas air flow senser. could this be due to the filter?
