Or is it more detremental if one is not close enough because the wind is hitting the car harder? I drive a small subaru. Maybe another thing to consider is how tall does the big rig have to be?

It seems crazy, but the oil companies are still raising gas prices even though there is no foreseeable shortage. I think the American people should get together, hire an attorney and try to sue the pants off those companies that are making billions off the public because practically everyone needs a motor vehicle to get around. Why should we continue to pay these high prices just because people in other countries pay more than we do? I think they are traitors because they know that most people that own or have control of a motor vehicle is going to need to buy gas. Let's hit them where it hurts, in their pockets just like they are doing to us the American people. Let's take them to court and let them prove beyond a reasonable doult that they are not price gouging the public.

... when its a life-threatening situation for me and just a joke to him (or her)?

I communte daily through city traffic and many people either unwittingly or over-agressively create situations that are very very dangerous for me while almost zero risk to them. Even though I have a legal right to be there and even though I more or less keep up with traffic, and in some cases even go faster, some people still think they have the right to run me off the road.

When I am driving on an interstate why do the slower cars always seem like they are in the left lane and I have to use the right lane to pass ? I don't want to name states, but it seems like NJ drivers always hog left lane, making it dangerous to pass them when they should be in the right lane . I am not making fun of NJ drivers just asking.

I'm coming in from Detroit to Chicago Union Station on Amtrak, and I'm looking for a way to use CTA transportation to get to Schaumberg where I'll be spending the night, since they can't pick me up. And the maps I found on the CTA website weren't very helpful. Any natives of Chicago out there that can give me a hand?

As I bicycle to work on a daily basis, I often encounter many road kills, such as opossums. Usually, I try to avoid running over them. But yesterday, I had to run over a huge opossum. It was during heavy traffic and it was unavoidable. It was a nasty speed bump, as my bicycle actually bounced.

1.Genuinely, what did it felt like when you had to run over a road kill?
2.Was it quite a thump?
3.Did it diminish the handling of your car?

Using a ten scale, rate how much this annoys you. ( 1 being not at all, 10 being to the core of your existence)

You are 2nd in line at a light that just turned red. Even thought the light has been red for only 3 seconds, the guy in front of you finds it necessary to move his car forward two and a half inches. Who cares right? But then he does it two more times within ten seconds!!! Jeez, guy what is your problem?! These miniscule forward movements obviously have no purpose, you will not reach your destination any sooner employing this strange tactic.

Wooo! Sorry, I replied to my own question, just gotta vent, it really peeves me. So, how much does this annoy you? (10 scale, and any extra info.)

Suppose I am doing the speed limit on a two lane highway and a trucker comes up behind me and tries to "push" me into going faster, should I recognise his need to deliver on time or should I hold my speed?

I'm trying to work out the schedules so I can take the bus to work. I want to save money on gas and reduce air pollution and global warming--and it's somewhat convenient since there is a bus stop very near my home.
Is there anyone else who does this?
